This painting started out a little bit differently. It
was a dress. I don't know what possessed me to
take on a dress (with an invisible zipper...and lining)
after nearly 30 years of not sewing. It was a disaster!
But I did need some fabric to go with this bright red cup,
so not all was a loss.

Excellent work! This is very very beautiful!!!
You have outdone yourself with this one, Gwen! The mug looks so real..
And the table cloth is done superbly.
Beautiful, Gwen! Your cherries have that rich, deep red color and the reflections on your cup are perfect! Your fabric is lovely here, although it would have made a beautiful dress, too. :-)
I hope this means your back painting again! It's fabulous!!

So happy to see a Gwen painting! This piece is terrific. I love that it is a dress too. I love all the reds. Just perfect!
I was drawn to this fabric right away. Maybe that's why you wanted a dress out of it? Cool painting.
Wow, Gwen I almost wanted to reach into the computer and grab myself a treat.
This one is the best of the best!!!
Can't take my eyes off.
I love stories like that, when you started out with a plan and then completely changed direction! It turned out so beautifully! Your compositions are always so unique and creative! And your painting style is so admirable! Wow!
Duh, I thought you meant you started out painting a dress! I got it, I got it now. Yes, so beautiful. Your work is awesome and I always like the angle that you paint from. It's so interesting and so you!
Your orange mug looks so real... I can 'feel' the shinny surface!

Beautifully painted. I am dazzled by the complicated fabric and those reflections- wow:) I love the way you painted the milk- looks just like cold hint of blue milk! Cherries are a favorite of mine and these are so well done. Yay for you and happy to see:)
Stunning, snappy and beautiful Gwen!
No, I'd say that's a pretty brilliant rescue of a failed sewing project! Your painting is exquisite, Gwen.
Love the painting Gwen. I know so many people who want to sew suddenly now. And imagine this beautiful dress in a sea of grey, purple and military olive green this year. Glad you used the fabric for such a great result.
