Well, slowly but surely I'm getting back in the groove.
Feels good to be painting again.
It's hotter-n-blazes here in Big D and nothing cools
you off quite like Mango Salsa. I forgot to add the
Chilies and lime to the composition, but not in the
real deal. Also, you're really supposed to use Jalepanos
and Cilantro in the recipe, however, this time I tried
it with little Thai Chilies and Basil. It was still yummy!

Luscious, Gwen! The form of the objects, the colors - everything just sings! LOVE this!
Yes, it's way way too hot here in Dallas! Good reason to stay inside and paint!
Lovely as always!
Sounds yummy! This is beautiful, Gwen. Glad to see you painting again!
It surely looks yummy from here! Your paintings are little jewels of color and composition, Gwen.
You are SO back and I for one am thrilled... LOVE the colors in this, feel like I'm at a festival. And speaking of hot, oh phew, humidity in the high desert and 119. Unfortunately, I think I win and I don't want to :>)
Looks real enough to reach out and take one.
I love your style! I adore your compositions. I admire your skill. That avocado looks so creamy thanks to your perfect rendering.
My bad Gwen, I meant 104 degrees, not 119. Although really, nasty hot... I miss my TX gals.
So glad to see you back in the swing of things Gwen. And you are the Queen of patterned backgrounds!
Your colors got me! Is there a recipe that comes with this painting???
Beautiful balanced composition, delightful!
Always love your veggie and fruit paintings... very yummy!

Refreshing and beautiful Gwen...stay cool!
So beautiful! And I think the cloth is so well chosen as it repeats the forms of the basil leaves!
Une petite danse de fruits en salade... mixée aux couleurs envoûtantes à l'oeil... très organoleptique...
Gros bisous.
You are back with a beautiful painting.Paint on Gwen.
I had mango salsa with my lunch today...Basil in Salsa? I add Cilantro.

This is just a party of fun in a painting- gorgeous colors and there is that fabric underneath that is so good!! Yay for you- glad to see you back:):)
Love it! Your composition is so playful and the patterned background is great!!
Glad you're back in action. Love this painting. You do design as well as you do rendering. So strong.
Beautifully painted Gwen, as always. This one looks very yummy..love the vibrant colors and the background.
Very beautiful composition and color. Love it
Your painting looks delicious, the salsa sounds yummy too. Glad to see you back on top of your old form. Wonderful composition, interest and colour. You must be a lady of great patience!
Gorgeous Gwen,
I'm impressed. It's hot here too, and I sure don't feel like cooking, or even making salad. Take out Indian food seems to be a favorite.
XO Barbara
Your subject and background combos continue to be amazing and eye opening! Another winner
Wonderful painting!
An absolutely beautiful job, Gwen.
You are the best when it comes to still (food)life...Great work!
Beautiful!!
So nice!!!!
Oh Gwen...it was worth the wait! Wow ; ) A beautiful little gem: snappy, eye-popping, colourful - fantastic! That mango is killer! And the onion, well...perfection. So good to see this painting. I hope things are a little cooler for you? And I'll have to try that recipe. It sounds delicious. Take care friend!
Huge fan of your ability to be able to work in a complicated pattern and still have a hierarchy of what one sees first - HOW DO YOU DO IT?!
I agree with Lisa. Your still lifes on fabric just blow me away.
