6 x 6 oil on canvas panel SOLD
Finally...a new painting! It seems like ages since I've
painted something new. This is my submission for
the latest DPW Challenge . I found it to be a fun subject.
I tried doing this composition on my usual patterned
background but it didn't work out at all. It was busy
enough with all of the cups. Must admit it was MUCH
less labor intensive. Maybe I'll stick with simple
backgrounds until I get my chops back.

Girlfriend...you got your chops. Always loving your fun backgrounds, but you do what the creative spirit is leading you to do.
I love it Gwen...great to see you back painting!!
So glad to see a Gwen post. Have missed your beautiful paintings. This one is a winner.
Another eye-catching painting, Gwen. I'm really liking your brushwork and value ranges. Makes the forms pop off the picture plane. Nice. C
Welcome back! It is great, also I love decorative almost whimsical appeal of your fabrics.take your time, keep your spirits high.
This works so beautifully! By all means work in whatever way you can to get back into the painting mode and don't worry about it! Whatever is supposed to come will come.
Hello! Glad you are back, your submission jumped off the DPW site for me. (missed you).
You definitely have your chops! Love the simplicity of the design. So clean. Just right.
You might feel as though you need to get your chops back - but trust me, they never left you...not even for a minute! This is wonderful in so many ways - love the solidity and presence of the objects, and the fantastic light and reflections - a great painting!
Lovely work Gwen as always. Love the color combination.
xx

The simple background is perfect for this painting! Its wonderful the way the cups shine and have so much life in them!
Hey...so great to see new work! Love your color combination. The rich blue color is really eye grabbing and nicely balanced with the top yellow.
YAYYY!!! You're back!!!! The clean slate and lack of pattern appeals to me -- but that's just me. It makes my heart happy to know you got past your block. :D Please Gwen and no one else, I say!
Bravo... encore encore!
I love it with the simple background! Your style is fabulous and your compositions are terrific. I think that it shows you have lots of chops that you were able to edit out the clutter:)
Well done!
You KNOW you've still 'got it'!!!!! Lots of hugs.
It's gorgeous!!!
We have missed you, hope you are back for good.

Gwen, I've been out of the loop but glad to see you are painting again. Having not painted in awhile, I truly understand trying to get back in the groove. This is a great start and I'm sure it won't be long before you are
"feeling" it again.
I liked the stacked cups. Nice clean work. Good Job!
