8 x 8 oil on canvas panel SOLD
I had completely forgotten about this Sake cup.
It is so cute so I don't know why I only painted
it this one time. As I remember, this painting
was also what got me going on objects reflected
in other objects, an exercise that I still find to
be infinitely rewarding.

Capturing objects reflecting into others is also what really rings home "reality" in a painting.
I thought you were going to tell me you already had fresh peas from your garden, while were still trying to melt our snow! So glad it wasn't the case... Spring will come, right?
Very nice painting, by the way.
Very nicely done, Gwen. No real Sake in that cup, right?
Glad to see you found some time to paint. What a fun combination of the edamame and the sake cup. Great job on all!
I love it when a painting "leads" us in a certain direction. This one has certainly led you on a good path, beautiful!
Those beans look so tempting! The color and shades are just too good!
Love this painting!! I've been exploring still life work big time. It's so cool to see really great work like this!! Thanks for the inspiration!
beauty!!
I have a similar little sake cup.
Love the colors in this one!! Those beans are so shiny and perfectly executed!! Love the Sake cup, you're inspiring me to dig out my sake set.
I am not surprised that this is already sold. It's so cool. Lovely work Gwen. Well done! :-)
Gwen, This is a real masterpiece! Love the shadow on the sake as well as the reflective light. Very, very well-done!
Beautifully rendered.
Love the blues and greens...looks so well together. Beautiful painting Gwen!!
Impressive as usual!
This is a nice soothing painting. I like the way you handled the snow peas even capturing the tiny ends! The subtle reflection of the peas is quite effective.
What a wonderful painting! Sake and Edamame. They go together perfectly in any hot summer evening. I love the reflections on the bowl and the sake.
This is FINE art
