I had completely forgotten about this Sake cup.
It is so cute so I don't know why I only painted
it this one time. As I remember, this painting
was also what got me going on objects reflected
in other objects, an exercise that I still find to
be infinitely rewarding.

Capturing objects reflecting into others is also what really rings home "reality" in a painting.
I thought you were going to tell me you already had fresh peas from your garden, while were still trying to melt our snow! So glad it wasn't the case... Spring will come, right?

This is a nice soothing painting. I like the way you handled the snow peas even capturing the tiny ends! The subtle reflection of the peas is quite effective.
What a wonderful painting! Sake and Edamame. They go together perfectly in any hot summer evening. I love the reflections on the bowl and the sake.
