6 x 6" oil on canvas panel SOLD
Gosh, I feel like a broken record. I'm STILL not
able to paint! Hope you don't mind seeing yet
another painting from a while back until I can
get my brush in gear.
This blog serves as an experiment in development. I am attempting to improve my painting skills and loosen my style.

Gwen....I don't mind at all, cause it's new to me. Lovely piece. Hang in there girlfriend, you will be back in the swing of things.
awsome:-)
Dear girl, take your time. It's fabulous seeing this piece, and others you post. Anyone with a life understands that sometimes... sometimes it gets in the way of painting, whether we like it or not.
Hope all is well with you, Gwen. Hurry back!
Sounds like a lot of painters are in a slump right now. Maybe it's the change of season? Moon in retrograde? Maybe we all just need to take a break,go for a walk, breathe and stay off the computer for a few days. This is an awesome painting,so at least you know you can do it!Maybe just not right now.
Such characters... in your still-Lifes! Every mark, building up to tell the tale.
(ps- that Mundy workshop in Houston got cancelled. Unbelievable, that in all of TX ya'll couldn't come up with more participation!) ooohhh~welll...
~carry-on...
Be patient and kind to yourself! It will happen when it's supposed to. Meanwhile I am enjoying seeing some of your previous work that I hadn't seen before.
Those orange sections are amazing! Always love seeing your work!!!!
Lovely work Gwen - bears repeating. I swear spring is the busiest time of year...busier even than the holiday season.
Love seeing your work. So wonderfully done.
i used to have similar episodes...until i realized those crap paintings, the ones i really sweated over, were my best ones. Now they are the only ones i keep and i toss the 'good' paintings. That realization was the turning point for me as a painter, but it was also the hardest thing i ever had to do as an artist.
