"Almost Guacamole"

10 x 10 oil on canvas panel SOLD

This is almost Guacamole...but not quite. I forgot
to
include the lime and onions. We Texans are purists
when it comes to our Guacamole.
No fancy sauces or
Mayo added. Just lots and lots of
creamy Avocados.
Sometimes I add some garlic but for
the most part, it's
just the basics.
It's still crazy cold here so I'm about to
make some
nice hot Nachos with plenty of cheese and
homemade Guacamole.
YUM!

You're right - it is cold! I haven't been out in almost a week. I'm getting a little stir crazy (or maybe just crazy) as tomorrow is going to be the same. :)

Love your painting and love your guacamole recipe - it's like mine. Yummy! Your fabric is so beautifully painted, as well as all your ingredients. I feel like I could reach in and make the guacamole. Love it!!

Stay warm!!

Plenty cold? We awoke to -10! Yes, that was negative ten. Don't even talk to me about cold... But I will indulge in some of those warm nachos with guacamole!

Beautiful rich colors. Everthing goes perfectly together on the canvas, and on the nachos I'm sure.

Fabulous painting, lots of textures and colours. Just lovely.

Yes cold everywhere lately and snowy here, but that's the standard for us. Just gives more time to make art. :)

Hey Gwen,
Love the boldness of the plate and its contents with the quiet subtle tablecloth pattern, a very nice compliment. Also, really like your title.

Geeeeez louissse, Gwen! This is taking purism farr! When I looked on my dashboard, I was wondering.. "now why the heck did she add a photo to her post... Did she leave a guacamole recipe?"

Absolutely gorgeous as usual, Gwen. The pattern in the tablecloth is beautifully done. It's a wonderful backdrop for the bowl full of veggies. My favorite thing though is the cilantro! How do you do that!

This is amazing Gwen!! Not only does this painting get you hungry...its really great. The blue bowl makes everything else pop. You painted the cilantro beautifully and your usual fabric cloth tops it. I love it!!
