6 x 6 oil on canvas SOLDI got these eggs out and thought "Hummm...where haveI seen this color combination before?" Oh yeah! I have some fabric with the exact same colors. Have you noticed
that green shelled eggs are turning up more and more with
the Organic ones?
Oddly enough, I already had this fabric out to use with another
salt and pepper set. Deer heads this time. They are really cute,
but I can't help thinking they look decapitated since it's only
the heads of a Buck and a Doe. Didn't want to do another weird
one right after the naked Island Girls!
6 x 6 oil on canvas$85.free shipping in USemail me for international ratesI was determined to paint these Island Girls. The Salt
and Pepper pours from their bosoms. I think that is
hilarious! After many set ups I finally settled on this
one. Thought the Batik fabric and drink umbrella
tied in with the Island theme.
It's a dreary,rainy day today so I could not get a good
photo. Took this one indoors. Will get a better one soon.
6 x 6 oil on canvas panel SOLDMy cousin, Joan, has the most incredible collection of S&P shakers! She started collecting in her early 20's and I'm not exaggerating when I say she probably has 100 sets. One of the qualities I love most about her is her quirkiness and keen sense of humor.
Believe me...this is no ordinary S&P Collection! On my last visit to her home I was drooling over the setswhen the idea hit to paint them. She kindly allowed me tobring home as many as I wanted. Thought I'd start out slow with a dozen! I don't know if I'll find the magic in allof them, but I certainly loved painting the little Elephants. They are by far my very favorites!
8 x 8 oil on canvasStill under the weather so here's another olderpainting from way back. Corinna was one of my first Pet Portraits. I've always liked her spunkylittle attitude and backpack. She looks like hersenses are on alert and she's reverted back to her ancient Wolf roots...ready to hunt!
