I was determined to paint these Island Girls. The Salt
and Pepper pours from their bosoms. I think that is
hilarious!
After many set ups I finally settled on this
one. Thought the Batik fabric and drink umbrella
tied in with the Island theme.

It's a dreary,
rainy day today so I could not get a good
photo. Took
this one indoors. Will get a better one soon.

Wow Gwen, your blog is getting downright risque ;-) These salt and pepper shakers are just too cute, and you have done a great job painting them. The umbrella works really well in setting them off. Love this idea too.

Love it! There is such a HUGE S&P collector's base out there. Of course this will be popular with the Hawaiiana group too. I've never seen this pair. I think this is an awesome series. Put them up on FineArtAmerica.com so I can buy some prints or cards of these.

You are too MUCH! Novelty subject - in the History of Art I think no one has ever painted Hula Girl S&P Shakers! But SO well painted - fantastic!

They certainly are unique. I see you continued to go to great lengths to find an appropriate set up with them. Nice job!

Very unique Gwen. I like the position of the fabrics that they sit on. Nice composition.
