This will probably be the last painting I post for at least
another week. I am in two back to back Art Shows this
weekend and next week I am moving my Mom across
town to a different Assisted Living facility. Whew!
Plus, I will be spending a lot of time with her until she
gets oriented to her new surroundings.

It's hard when we become the mother to our mothers, isn't it? But I found that as she became dependent on me, I loved her even more. Good luck on the move.

This is such a cool piece. I love how you arranged the apple to be the "blossom". Awesome.
I LOVE this painting! It has an almost surreal feeling - does that pattern come out of the apple? Is it a "special" plate to eat off of? Where does the apple finish and the pattern start?
Good luck with the shows...I just came home from a weekend show a few hours south of here...exhausted but it was fun. Sold nothing but did several on spot portrait sketches and gave a talk/demo on portraiture so at least it paid for my gas down there and a couple of meals:-) I moved both of my parents at different times before they died and it was very tiring but they do so much for us when we're growing up...it is good to be there for them when they need us.

Another great "Gwen Bell" signature piece. I like the way the white of the apple stands out against the warmer colors.
