6 x 6 oil on canvas panel SOLD
Tried this same fabric a few weeks ago with yellow
flowers. I find it so interesting that a big bold pattern
can look completely different by using different props.
I played around with the lemon placement for quite a
while and finally decided I liked the little moment of
light coming from behind the cup and spotlighting it.

Fantastic, Gwen! I love the shadow on the lemon, and the wonderful reflections in the mug.

Gwen, wonderful reflections in the mug and love that spoon!
Love the reflections of the pattern on the mug, another great painting.
Teal mug and the levitating lemon... Cool magic trick! I love the reflections in your mug. They're spot on and gorgeous.
Its the spoon that I like the most.
Than the reflection on the mug.
Overall another great piece.
Always well done!
Never tired to see more of these.
Gwen, your spoon is killin' me! Excellent!
Très beau travail sur les reflets de la tasse... Magnifique.
Beautiful reflections in the cup Gwen. I want at your fabric box!
beautiful colour combinations and composition Gwen.
Wow - just gorgeous!! Love everything including that spoon!
This is another beautiful painting! Like everyone else, I am amazed by the reflections of the fabric on the mug. Love it!
I really like the organic shapes in the spoon in contrast to the harder edges in the cup. These cup paintings never get old!
wonderful painting, the mug's color is terrific!
muy bello!!!! felicidades!!!!
how lovely - the reflections & highlights on the cup & the spoon - i just want to keep staring at it! thank you!
The teal and the lemon are a perfect combo!
These are lovely, Gwen. You should paint them on tiles and put them in your kitchen.
Please make a book of these, i cannot afford to buy each one and i must have a collection of your stilllife mugs!! You are amazing!
you have inspired me. I recently picked up these two small brown tea cups at a thrift store. I'm trying now to think of items to put with them for a still life. Have any suggestions? Yours always seem to be well thought out.
Gwen!
You not only did a great job capturing the reflections in the mug but managed to make them subtle too.
It's easy to over-exaggerate things but it's quite a challenge to "hint" at them instead.
Go you!
