"Spaghetti Ready"

10 x 10 oil on canvas panel SOLD

This was one of those happy situations where a
painting composed itself. I dropped the tomatoes
and garlic into the bowl straight from shopping bag,
then plopped in the freshly cut Oregano and Basil. I was
just about to start cutting everything up for Spaghetti
Sauce when I realized...hummm...the placement was
pretty good. The only thing left to do was find a fabric
for the background.

That is a terrific still life. Love that it happened accidentally. Beautiful! Hope your sauce was good:)

This painting is beautiful! Both the composition and the color are gorgeous! So did you make sauce? Or did you have something else for dinner!

Gwen! This a absolutely beautiful!

This happens to me while cooking, and I want to stop and paint but the family is waiting for dinner.

Did you have to order out that night?

Great painting. I wish you can come over to my house and drop vegetables in a bowl for me. The placement is wonderful...and love the colors in the cloth ...it goes well with the tomatoes.

I love that all of these things made a very complex design pattern, but you pulled it all together in your signature Gwen Bell style!

Gwen, this is so nice! Everything looks so great. The garlic, spices and shadows are especially lovely. I really like the flow of the oregano sprig and basil leaves - fresh from the garden! It's all captured beautifully.
