6 x 6 oil on canvas panel
$85.
I imagined the Pomegranate on the bottom with one of it's
stems pointing up might be looking for the other one, thus
"Hide-N-Seek". Ok...it's a stretch!
I've noticed that Pomegranates in the store are a strong red
color. However, the ones growing around here are burnt orange
which worked out fine for me since it goes better with the fabric.

I drank pomegranate juice today....Couldn't help thinking of your blog! Beautiful painting as always Gwen.
I love the drama involving fruit and mugs. So beautiful.

Love the frontal postion of the cup and the reflections. The shadow is also very interesting. Your paintings are so wonderful!
Lumière éclatante... Votre bleu est magnifique et donne beaucoup de force à votre toile... Excellent travail, bises.
Love this painting as usual Gwen. The reflections in the cup is perfect ...and another perfect cloth.
Your ability to "weave" these beautiful fabrics into your still lifes are amazing. Love the blues & greens.
A very cute title. I also love the green/red contrast, Gwen! Your printed table cloth collection is still going strong!
Every time you paint a mug, I say, I wish I could paint like that! This is a beautiful painting--love the reflections in the mug!

I like how you've done the shadow of the cup, and the rust reflection on the side of the cup. All the pomegranates in the store up here are gigantic and deep red. Guess they have all been "genetically modified". I wonder if yours taste sweeter?
Nice job sneaking all those colors into the mug, Gwen!

Sometimes you see something done so well that it's intimidating!!
A major benfit of blogging is that we push each other.
