I am nowhere near to being a Girly Girl, but I do enjoy
some bright toe nail polish and a soothing cup of tea.
This blog serves as an experiment in development. I am attempting to improve my painting skills and loosen my style.

You are just so amazing! Fabulous!
Oh, I love, love, love this one. First off, that looks like my favorite color of toe polish, cajun shrimp. I love the colors on the tea cup, especially the reflections of the polish on the handle and that itty bitty swipe of green; outstanding!
Wow! Nice one Gwen. That teacup is absolutely exquisite! The highlights, colouring, shape... it's just excellent!
Gwen this is great! I like the how realistic you got the tea cup and the nail polish is a neat touch!
What a little gem! Love the gold handle on the teacup.... and the thin gold line is perfect too. Nice circle theme going on here Gwen.

Great combo!
The cup series just gets better and better. So fun!
What a great painting! For the first time in
many years I am wearing nail polish on my toes.
You are so a girly girl. Super light, colour and design.

This painting is just my cup of tea! Seriously, it's so amazing. I love how the tea is so light at the edge, and gradually darkens as it gets deeper. And the reflections on the cup are beautiful. You did a wonderful job!
I'm not sure how you could top this one Gwen, that cup is just perfect! Love your palette in this.
Gwen this is really great..the tea cup is amazing..!
STUNNING!
Ditto on what everyone else said. Love this painting!
Gwen: what a terrific little painting!
This teacup is absolutely beautiful!
What a sweet and fun painting, I love it!
Just super-love it and the title
The edge of the tea inside the cup, as it pales near the curved surface, looks so real!
Love it. I too love nail polish if only I had the time... Used to always do the toe nails but gave that up for extra drawing time LOL.
Hope you had some nice soothing music.
You work so fast...There is always something interesting happening here..Love to visit.
Hugs
I love how you tackle patterns that are the backdrop to your still lifes. Impressed!
So please tell me then waht is a girly girly being a boy boy I have not got a clue but I do love the painting.
Once again, I'm speechless. This painting is wonderful. The teacup looks so real!! perfect.
Gwen, This is another beauty. You are so talented!
Gwen!
Push aside that nail polish and patterned background. The first thing I noticed was that teacup!
The cup itself is so well done! The angle, the sheen, and especially the highlights which give it that 3-D feeling.
There doesn't appear to be any cast shadows underneath the teacup either and yet it's so good I didn't even notice right away! Somehow it still looks correct!
Go you!

This one looks so real, that I thought it was a photo until I opened it on your blog. Very fun - love it.
Another great painting in this series. I don't know why, but "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" jumped into my head. That tea cup is amazing.
Love this! Great energy and style! Well done!

I thought I commented on this but I don't see it! I love the composition, and the theme of this painting! I love the contrast of the smooth porcelain and the 'dotty' cloth!
