Fellow Artist and good friend, Kim Rempel, knows I
like crazy patterns and so she surprised me with some
Uber-cool fabric in the mail! And what a groovy experience
painting this trippy material that seemed to have no
repeat in color combinations. Thank you for the fun gift and
challenge Kim!
I know the title is kind of "out there", but I started thinking
if I put all of these little ellipses in a blender and poured the
concoction in a bottle, what would I call it? The unusual bottle
seemed like a good fit for a unique potion/lotion like that.

What a nice friend and great painting.
How Groovy is that. LOL What a very kind friend. I love the bottle and the BG .
Super job Gwen.
Very interesting one Gwen. I that an actual bottle you have, or imagined to go with that print?
This is so fun! I think the pattern on the cloth is perfect for one of your paintings! Nice gift Kim! The bottle has an intersting shape and the content does look very potion-like! The way you handled the cloth reminds me of the works of Chuck Close!
Gwen! Wow - that looks amazing. You nailed that fabric exactly! I don't know how you did that without going crazy (or maybe I shouldn't assume...lol) What a fun piece - and a stellar job on that bottle to boot. When I saw it on DPO this morning it just made me smile. Hats off....
I would have gotten so lost in painting the fabric. Wow. You did such a great job! Groovy.
Thanks for all the great comments! Yes, Carol, that's an actual bottle my sister brought me from The Belagio in Las Vegas.
Linda, you are so right about that! I did think about Chuck Close and those incredibly huge concentric ellipses he paints in his giant portraits. Good observation!
Always asking myself, how she is doing this?
I would go crazy with this fabric..Do u drink/smoke/scream/climbing walls?
And this sister of yours, is a great buyer.
Gwen, it is beautiful.
Hi Gwen:
I am trying one more time to leave a comment.
Was the ice cream prop tasty? It looks so pretty in the blue glass.
Kim
This is a great painting...and that fabric. All I can say is wow!!
Fabulously groovy....... love it.
I've never seen a bottle with a bottom like that before, Gwen.
Where are you finding all this cool stuff!

Groove on girl!
How fun! This reminds me of a children's book my kids loved when they were little, about a boy who pours a bottle of potion onto a rock, it turns into an elephant, and he has all sorts of adventures!
