Gwen this is wonderful! Amazing job with a ribbon, reflections and the color combination. This one is going to sell fast.
This painting has such a refreshing feel to it. Love the tension between the dots, the shine on the plain colored ribbon and the pail. Very nice composition!
What a great still life set-up. The retro motif is not only fun, but the ellipses make the whole composition dance. The blue ribbon was a great way to tie everything together (no pun intended, honest).
Love the combination of brown and blue.
Love your series of print fabric backgrounds! My career before kids was managing a fabric store and I collected alot of fabrics. Just this year I've painted a few floral backgrounds also. It's tricky. You make a believable background. And your silky ribbon is wonderful!

Love this. I have done several very small paintings utilizing ribbons in the composition - something about the sensuous curves and the way the light shines on some areas. I have more "ribbon" theme stuff in my head and maybe your painting has inspired me to get on with them!

Smart girl! The dotted fabric could've easily stole the viewer's attention away from the bucket but by having them reflected back onto the main subject that doesn't happen!
Love the blues and browns working together!
