"Golden Pears"

6 x 6 oil on canvas SOLD

Found the photo reference for this on
WetCanvas.
What an awesome
site! I really liked this composition
with the strong reflection
and geometric background.
All I had to do was keep
it loose. The darkest area
that reads black is actually a deep eggplant purple

that I chose to compliment the light yellow/green.

"Yellow Daisy"

6 x 6 oil on masonite SOLD

Here's a new Daisy painting. I'm having so much fun with
these. The simple patterns allow for lots of interpretation
and experiment with color.

"Orange Daisies"

6X6 oil on masonite
SOLD

And now for something completely different...
This is my first floral painting in nearly a year of blogging.
I got a bit burned out on flowers from my Mural days, but
my friend, Don, brought me these gorgeous orange ones
and they were so beautiful I just had to paint them!
I think this one would be really pretty on a very large
canvas so that's in the works.

"Commuters"

6 x 6 oil on masonite SOLD

I was very intimidated by this month's DSFDF! My initial
reaction was to skip it, but thanks to Dana Cooper's
encouragement I decided to try it. I approached it like she
suggested; Puzzle Pieces. It was still difficult but went
much more smoothly than if I had not taken it a bit at
a time.

"Fresh Limes"

12 X 12 oil on masonite SOLD

So many of your comments have used the word "fresh".
I like that so
decided to rename this "Fresh Limes".
Much better. Thanks!
