"Bun In A Basket"

6 x 6 oil on masonite SOLD

Fellow blogger Sally Baker graciously gave her
permission for me to paint
this reference photo of her
beautiful cat, Bun....in a basket. She sent several others
that I can't wait to paint.
Thanks again Sally!

Doesn't this dog's new cut look like he's wearing Ugh Boots?
He was so proud of himself. His little friend only had the
tail poof and a big attitude.

"Greyhound"

6 x 6-ish, oil on masonite SOLD

In my opinion the Greyhound is the Super Model of dogs

with it's long lean shape. I know this is a little
different...the dark background... but
I'm enjoying
the way
her elegant lines pop around the negative space.
I might change my mind about that later, but right now
I'm simply admiring the perfection of Nature's form.

" Red Bartletts"

6 X 6 oil on masonite
SOLD

These pears look like small eggplants but this
really is what they looked like and the actual
colors.
I made myself paint what I saw instead of
"how it should look".

"Corbin"

8 X 8 oil on masonite nfs

This handsome young man is a former neighbor and a
born athlete. His cousin is Mark Texiera so I guess it's in
the genes. He was knocking balls into my backyard
when he was 2!

I need to go back in here and do some highlight work but I'm out
of Cerulean.

I'm doing a mural the rest of the week so I decided to go ahead and paint Mrs. Piggy and post her today. They've been together so long...it just didn't seem right to keep them apart any longer than necessary.

I love this little piggy and his wife! If my house was on fire and I could only grab a few things I would have to include the vintage Salt & Pepper shakers that belonged to my beloved Grandma. I spent hours playing with them like dolls. They cooked, argued, threw salt and pepper at each other, kissed and made up just in time to
season our dinner every day.
