I love and want to emulate anyone who does such a great job with their shadows. Love this Gwen.

Gwen, this is a wonderful still life...I particularly like the blues on the plate, warm, cool, light, dark and everything in between and the green reflected on the plate as well!

I love these lemons in the cool colours of the spectrum, Gwen. We have a lime tree here in a wine vat. It has grown for 2 years but has no fruit. Nowadays, I use the leaves to flavour my Thai curries.

I agree with those great statements about the shadows. I esp like the highlights on the rim that's in the shadows!

Well, I love green and blue to simplify my comment. But there is so much going on here and you have handled the values and the tempetures so well. Love the direction and composition too.

Gwen!

The gorgeous blue cast shadows under the limes are what make this painting so great IMHO!
