"Grapes"

16 x 12 oil on canvas SOLD

This is another painting for the Vineyard client.
The colors are so much better in person. The grapes
that look faded aren't. They are all quite vivid.
I took the
battery out of my camera to charge and
when I put
it back in it wasn't taking good pictures
anymore.
This has happened before. I need to
download new
"filmware" or something like that.

Anyway, I'm pleased with the way this turned out.
I took it from one of the photos provided by the client.
It is a really beautiful place and I'm looking forward to
doing more paintings in the weeks and months ahead.

I can only imagine what this must look like IRL, because from my perspective the colors are glorious. Beautiful work, Gwen. Your client must be positively thrilled.

This is beautiful, it looks so real and vibrant, the grapes each a slightly different colour from each other and the leaves with their spots, so true to life. The vineyard owners will, I am sure be delighted with their paintings.

Gwen i am stunned at how life like this is! but what i love more is the composition: the loooking down at the grapes, the heaviness, and of course the sunlight urging their growth... wonderful!

Very nice! Regarding the image, I too face the same problem! Anyway, a painting always looks better in person!

Wow, this is really stunning Gwen! I enlarged it to take it all in. You really made the leaves interesting with different temperatures of green and your grapes glow!

Beautiful job Gwen. It's absolutely stunning, great composition and I would love to see it hung in a vineyard. We have lots of vineyard's around us.I must go and take note of any artwork they have hung.

Gwen!

I love nature paintings!

The colors are amazing here! I love the violet background, the wines and purples of the grapes, and the greens in the leaves. They work together so well!

Upon first glance, I thought this was done in watercolors! It just has that look, I guess.

The two main leaves just about the bunch of grapes look really well done too! Very precise looking.

I'm sure the vineyard client will be pleased with this one!

Hi Gwen,
Gorgeous color work. I love how there's one grape that's kind of blue.
