"Nino II"

6 X 6 oil on masonite nfs

Adriana and Nino came over the other day and between
the two of us we were able to get some really cute shots
of him. He's all
grown up now but still has that cute look
of a puppy.
Loved this one with his ears back in sweet
submission.
However, he definitely has Little Man Syndrome
and I'm
wondering if that paw on top of her hand isn't one
of his
dominate maneuvers despite the ears.

I really need a new camera. This has nice thick paint
strokes, particularly on the background and Nino's chest
fur and none of
them showed up in the photos. This was
the clearest
one of the bunch.

Hi Gwen,

I love the design of this, plus the mood and the cutie pie doggie. Did I say it's a really GREAT PAINTING. Because it really is!

You make me laugh. And I love to laugh.

Nice painting Gwen!

this is Awesome Gwen! The arm mirrors Nino's back and it all works so well, sweeping the viewer's eye down; to the right and back around again. Bravo!

Amazingly beautiful, Gwen.At first I thought it was a photograph! You have achieved a very nice contrast here and detailing on hands is also impressive!

Strong composition, almost abstract. And you have really captured this little guy! My daughter (who rescues dogs) took in an older Jack Russel. She affectionately calls this breed "Jerk Russels" because they always have to be in charge. Surrounded by larger breeds (she has eight other dogs) he still thinks he's the boss.
