"Honeydew Slices"

6 X 6 oil on masonite
SOLD

We finally have Honeydew back at the store!
It was what I originally wanted to do "Bowl
Full Of Cherries" in rather than the orange
Cantaloupe. I liked the idea of the green and red
theme but found out after the last painting that
I wasn't crazy about the
composition once it was done.
So we have slices
rather than a scooped out half.

I love this painting. The melons are wonderful and your colors are fantastic. Nice job!

Gwen , this is a really nice piece..I liked the white and yellowish effect on that. Dark background is definitely creating an extra effect.

Such yummy looking slices. I seem to find the background a bit distracting though. It seems too heavy for the fruit, but since you're the artist you know what you have in mind!

Gwen!

The dramatic black background almost makes the green of the honeydew look fluorescent!

Neat!
