Gone for a while

I am having sinus surgery on Monday and feel really lousy so
this will be my last post for at least a week or two. I'm sure I'll
still view every one's awesome work but doubt I'll be painting
or posting anything new until I recuperate.

When I first started blogging around the first of the year it was
mainly as a way to look back and track personal growth. I wasn't
prepared to meet so many encouraging...and immensly talented...
new friends. Now the blog has become a real and vital social
community for me
and I find myself eager to get online each day
to see what new
wonderful art you have to share and what
genuinely entertaining things y'all are saying to each other.

Not only has the community been great, it's been a wonderful
teaching tool. So many of you are years ahead of me in your
process. Examining your beautiful work, reading your posts and
receiving your encouraging feedback has been more helpful than
any art class I could
ever attend.

Thank you all so much! See you soon.

Gwen, I'm so sorry to hear about your surgery. I'm hoping it makes you feel better soon.
I agree completely with your statements about the blog community. It has pushed me and taught me about a lot more than art. I have to say that you have been a leader not only as an artist but in encouraging comments. We will be here when you get back and looking forward to more paintings from Gwen!

I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you on Monday morning. Make sure you get plenty of good drugs to take home with you.

I'll miss your funny and entertaining posts but I'll really miss looking at your awesome work. You're the one who is years ahead of me! Just think after you recuperate you'll be so eager to get back into it all! HUGS!

Gwen - You took the words right out of my mouth...who would have thought a community could be built with a little machine that sits in our laps. This blogworld has opened doors, formed friendships, shared lessons, and encouraged us beyond our wildest dreams; thank you so much for saying it just so.

You are in my thoughts and prayers and I wish you a healthy and speedy recovery. I look forward to seeing more beautiful paintings from you when you're back after all that rest! Take care, Angela
